Huntington’s Disease Challenged by California stem cell program

FLASH!

Huntington’s disease will challenged by embryonic stem cells from BioTime, Inc., via its “wholly-owned subsidiary ES Cell International (ESI, Singapore).

Dr. Leslie Thompson of UC Irvine will be leading the charge, thanks to a $5 million grant from the California stem cell program. Working with her will be UC Davis’ Good Manufacturing Practices lab, led by Dr. Gerhard Bauer.

United against this horrific disease are Singaporean/American private enterprise, the research departments of two great universities—and the California stem cell program.
